I have not found any other app with this type of problem. I am hesitant to upgrade my Laptop for fear it gets borked as well. I have even run 'restorecon' on the desktop unit to ensure it was not a selinux issue. The F37 OS versions are 6.2.86_64 on my Laptop and 6.2.86_64 on my Desktop. Since the /usr/bin/vlc actually works when invoked from a user's terminal, I know the executable is fine. Permissions are the same as for other similar apps. Both vlc.desktop files under /usr/share/applications/ are identical on both machines. I have checked invoking it from the terminal and it works. There is an app showing the correct icon in the applications menus. ![]() Now the GUI version will not start on my Desktop. VLC worked initially on both machines fine. I recently upgraded to F37 on my Laptop and my Desktop. ![]()
